Join the server

This year, the main platform for the AutoML conference will be Discord – including for the online poster session and for talk streams. Instructions for joining:

  1. Follow the invite link to the AutoML server: (sent in an email or as a QR code at the conference)
  2. Change your display name to match the conference registration name (or contact gabi.kadlecova@outlook.com if you need to have a different name)
  3. Shortly before the conference, verify that you can find automl24-general in “Browse channels” in the menu

Please join in advance, because we need to assign you the conference roles manually.

Change your display name

Set the display name to match the name you entered during registration. If you need to set a different name (e.g. a nickname), contact the online experience chairs.

You can enter a display name when joining via the invite link. If you need to change it later, you can find it in user settings:

Find the channels

In the menu, select “Browse Channels”

By ticking the boxes on the right, you select what channels you see in your menu. Every paper has its own channel. You can use it for discussions and for joining the online presentation in the hybrid poster session.

Hybrid poster session

The poster session will happen on Discord. Each author should monitor the channel of their paper(s) to see if online participants want to chat or ask some questions.

The channels will enable video/audio calls as well as text chat.

Video streams – stage channels

Streams happen in stage channels named AutoML-24-main and AutoML-24-second.

All organizational talks and keynotes are streamed on the main channel. The second channel is used for talks/tutorials in parallel slots.

Stage channels have a chat (message bubble top right). The “waiting music” can be turned off by hitting the “musical note button” next to the “red exit button”.
